Let the world know about Your Scotland
I am coming to see the Tattoo in August but am rather nervous about the ability of getting transport to the gates of the castle as I am disabled. Has anyone any info on this as the things I want to know are -
1. I will have a pass to enable transport to get me up the hill but how do I arrange for a taxi to take me... in other words.. is that a feasable possibilty?
2. In that event approx how much are they likely to charge me for this service?
3. How does this work anyway as I suppose I will have to leave the pass with the taxi in order for them to pick me up afterwards.?
Have telephoned various places but not been able to get any satisfactory replies. If anyone can help me or find out more for me I would appreciate it very much!
Thankyou!

Permalink Reply by Emm Tooke on July 12, 2011 at 16:31 I will be travelling from Norwich on the 18th of August by train. That is why I will not have any transport of my own and therefore need to know about the taxi services and arrangements between them and the castle. What I mean is that apparently I/taxi has to go in a convoy from St. Giles (St.?) to the gates at a specific time which could mean a somewhat lengthy procedure the cost of which could end up being quite significant.
I would really like to know from sombody who has already experienced this and can therefore fill me in with the details. I have already seen the info provided but it does not cover the more "personal" things that I want to know as I have already mentioned.
