hi,
every time, when i stay in scotalnd, i must have my fish and chips.
now here at home i will cock my fish and ships self. who can give me the korrekt mixture for the "panade " from the fish?
i hope you can help me. i´m hungry!!! ;-))

Sorry Joerg,
I can't help you much on that one - but some of the ladies on the Forum might! "Panade" is "coating" in English. "Batter" ("Teig") is the word you're looking for. Scots usually fry their fish at home; battered fish and chips is bought mostly at the local corner fish and chip shop! And haddock (Schellfisch) is the best and only fish for many of us! - David
