Permalink Reply by Ros Gasson on August 28, 2011 at 20:02 There's so many options, and it depends a lot on what you are interested in? There's plenty of 'tourist' options, but there's also loads of amazing places to go that take a little more searching out.
If you're looking for information on how to get around once you arrive, this site is really useful for planning travel by any form of public transport: http://www.travelinescotland.com/welcome.do
(Here's the main site for train info and bookings: http://www.scotrail.co.uk/, and this one has most of the West coast ferry timetables: http://www.calmac.co.uk/)
There are also plenty of of good websites with information about Scotland, if you want to find out more about what to do and see over here. I have plenty of links to a host of Scottish sites on my website links page here: http://www.photography-scotland.com/links/ which would start you off with information on holidays, music, photos taken around Scotland, and a few other things.
I hope that's of some help to get you started!
