Ben Loyal In BloomBen Loyal (2572ft), the 'Queen of Scottish Mountains', in North West Sutherland. One of my favourite spots and great for a bit of fishing also. This is taken from on of the car parks on the causeway across the Kyles of Tongue

The Cuillins Across The Sound Of Sleat.

Just after sunrise as early morning clouds and mist are still rolling around. Had found a great pitch just beside the road south of Glenelg the night before. The only sound I heard that night was the occasional screech of a sea bird drifting across the water.

Nice photo of Plockton Derek.  It's also where the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music is based.

A fabulous spot in Ross and Cromarty any avid Hamish MacBeth fans may remember it as Lochdubh ! Also used to be famous for the highland cattle that roamed the streets ( someone was gored once ! ) but alas none to be found on the day of my visit.
