Let the world know about Your Scotland
Its been a while since I've posted. This photo was taken at a private beach near North Berwick in East Lothian looking out towards the Bass Rock. This shot is the first decent results I've had since choosing to return to film for landscapes. This was shot on an ancient Mamiya M645J camera with a 45mm Len and Fuji Velvia 50 film.

I love shooting with film but unfortunately I don't really get to do it enough as I rely on friends to scan the films for me and feel bad about always asking for more scans :(
Modern DSLRs are getting closer but they still have a good bit to go before they match what film does colour wise. That said though, the results from most modern DSLRs are still pretty good.

Comment by Allan Robson on May 17, 2011 at 23:31 love this, good job I read your description before commenting because I was about to ask what the white balance K number was to get this beautiful colour. :-) I watched my dad for many years shooting with file and live it, I loved watching him develop, it was like he was creating something right before my eyes. Back to reality now though, Im too lazy for all that. I wish they would hurry up and develop an affordable DSLR with the dynamic range for colour and light that a film camera has :-)
