I'm an exile, so I have a few Scotland related groups, forums and blogs that I follow:
Blogs:
Angus Nicolson - former councillor with Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (always has interesting insight into current affairs)
Silversprite - the librarian at the end of the world, also a Web 2.0 expert and great photos, based on Berneray
What's new pussycat? - Aussie girl living in Scotland. Very, very funny. Also the author of
Dietgirl blog and book.
Island Blogging - started by the BBC 5 years ago. They are currently shutting the site down but hopefully it will migrate to a better place (they are looking for someone to organise this if anyone here has some time and some web 2.0 savvy!)
Forums:
British Expats - well, technically I'm not British (if I were then I wouldn't be an expat!) but there's some great advice on here and quite a few homesick Scots living abroad.
Foram na Gaidhlig - great resource for learners of Scottish Gaelic - just don't put in any "Translate this for me" requests and you will be fine!
The Gaelic-B list - similar to Foram na Gaidhlig. Think you need to subscribe to use.
Lonely Planet - for travellers and locals. They also have blog and photos sections.
Scotster - this is a new one. More of an online community like Our Scotland than a forum.
Happy reading!
