I am researching my Family Tree and Scottish ancestry. The main lines are Cobbans, Frasers,Gows, Lawries and Urquharts and I will be visiting Scotland in July/August 2009 for The Gathering and The Edinburgh Tattoo.
I checked out your website and from what i can tell from the information provided by my family there doesn't appear to be an obvious connection. On saying that though several generations of my family are from around the Perth area. I'm very new to all this family research sort of thing. I really appreciate the help that you have given me.
regards

Hi Rosemary
Well I have looked at your tree and find that all your Cobbans are from the lowland side , while all mine are from the highland side. There has to be a link somewhere, I thought it may be around the 1500 to 1600's, as it may be that the Cobban's were from the Auchterarder area. More research is needed.
On Bailey, mine is a 3 yr old yellow labrador, full of beans but very adorable. My wife would have liked a smaller dog but has come round to his charms.

Hi Rosemary
Thanks for you for your message.
I will look forward to hearing what you find out about our ancestors.
I would love to find out more about my fathers side but at present will have to do with my mothers.

I'm always happy to discuss genealogy with a fellow enthusiast! Interested to see you will be in Edinburgh for The Gathering. Are you planning on doing some research during your trip? Let me know if there's any questions I might be able to help you with.
